LittleGolem hit the garage with The Toaster. Don’t worry she’s OK and the garage was unfazed.
This fender and the bumper are much worse for wear.
The bumper cover is torn off completely on this side. The mounting bracket is all jacked up and the paint is cracked off to bare metal.Going to wire brush off the paint, pound stuff back into the closest I can get it and zip tie it all back together.
Fucking Mint!
You can barely even tell!
Close up of that wonderful orange peel and my body matched ziptie.

I hit a fence in the family beater as a teen. I wire wheeled the area and blasted it with a rattle can. Took my parents a full five months to notice...

For just a second, my mind wondered if you’d gone stir crazy and were posting a pic of you flexing in the home gym or something.
Good work. That buffed our nicely!

Right before I got my hand-me-down truck, my mom used it during a snow storm and mowed down the only street sign within a half a mile of where she went into the ditch. She didn’t bother to fix it. I bought some touch-up paint and some electrical tape to make the repair. The tape covered the hole in the sheet metal where we used a dent puller to get it mostly straight. The paint covered the tape and the scrapes. It was surprisingly difficult to see the repair.

Luckily the only thing I hit as a new driver was a Suzuki Samurai. It’s didn’t come out well, but my Previa was completely unscathed.

I’ve found it’s pretty easy to make a fix that most people won’t notice.

I mean... that car eventually died and not by my hand. Insurance money was made.

I think it was salvageable. The bumper was pushed back against the drivers’ side wheel, but honestly it seemed like you might just be able to yank that out. On the other hand, at the time, I think being dirty might have been enough to total a Samurai.

Word of advice for next time: Roll your tape edge and use it as a guide not
a hardline.
That helps blend/hide it.

I know to this but I cared so little. I mean I sprayed engine enamel on it for God’s sake.

Absolutely. Now throw a bra over it & call it a day.
Or you could replace that black zip tie with a yellow or pink one and tell everyone it’s a factory custom.

LittleGolem would prefer a blue zip tie.

On a black car? Ok, we’ll allow it.
